What floats YOUR boat? What makes you YOU? Do you love hiking through mountains, testing the limits, and hanging with young people? Do you drink lots of coffee, like to discuss ideas? Are you always searching for a better way of doing things? Do you spend your spare time on youtube? Are you interested in how faith and culture interact? Do you have a creative bent and want to let it out? Do you like foreign food, cross-cultural exchanges, and enjoy going way beyond your comfort zones? Are you crazy for justice? Want to knock the world off its feet? Upset the apple cart? Do you want to hang with prostitutes and throw birthday parties for sinners? Do you want to see change happen? I mean, do you WANT to see CHANGE happen – in the church, in this world, in your life, in your friends' lives? Do you sense there is more to life than this, and are you bent on finding it? Do you know in your gut that the church needs to get off its duff and start following Jesus? Are you hungry for God, hungry for growth, hungry for the truth, hungry for meaning? Whoever you are, go out from Sterling, and make a difference. Start a church or a media ministry or a coffee shop. Go live in the inner city, be a chaplain in a national forest, take young people on out of bounds. Work in a camp, make videos, write for a newspaper, lead children, reach out to families, teach at a university, battle for truth with words, be a youth pastor, work at a shelter for abused women, teach the Bible to migrant workers or to workers on Wall Street, join a worship team, or live in a hut in Africa. Ministry. It’s a wild and adventurous ride. In the Theology and Ministry Department, we are committed to getting you ready. Contact Rev. Dr. Craig A. Smith (chair) at crsmith@sterling.edu, Tom Bronleewe at tbronleewe@sterling.edu, Rev. Dr. Hank Lederle at hlederle@sterling.edu, Rishawn Austin at raustin@sterling.edu, or Rev.
