Welcome to the Religious and Philosophical Studies Department.

A major in Religious and Philosophical Studies exposes students to the breadth of philosophical, theological and Biblical issues that inform the Christian tradition in order to have a deeper intellectual and personal understanding of the faith. It also brings an understanding of what "maturing" means to Christian faith, an understanding that faith is a journey, a continual growing, rather than a static condition. The major guides students in learning that maturing Christian faith must be engaged both intellectually and experientially.
