Brazelton Named KCAC Player of the Week
Wichita, Kan. - Cody Brazelton of Sterling College has been named this week's KCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week. During the week, Brazelton averaged 23.0 points per game, and 8.5 rebounds per game and helped the Warriors gain sole possession of the top spot in the KCAC going into the final week of the regular season.
In Sterling's first game of the week against Kansas Wesleyan University, Brazelton scored 31 points and had eight rebounds. Sterling won the game 74-72 on a Zach Goodrich jumper with 2.6 seconds remaining on the clock.
Against Ottawa University, Cody nearly had a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds. The Warriors beat Ottawa 77-68.
Sterling went 2-0 on the week and is 16-10 overall, 12-4 in the KCAC. The Warriors currently hold a one game lead over Tabor College atop the KCAC standings with two games left to play. Sterling will travel to Newton to play Bethel College at 8:00 pm on Thursday then host McPherson College at 7:00 pm on Saturday.
