Dr. David Briones teaches Greek, Hebrew, Pauline Literature and several other courses in the Theology and Ministry department. He is a southern California native who has been a college pastor, professor, bible study leader, retreat speaker and has authored several articles and reviews. He is a member of the Institute of Biblical Research, the Evangelical Theological Society and the Society of Biblical Literature.
He and his wife Mindy have a baby boy, Micah. In his free time he enjoys reading, playing basketball and ultimate frisbee, skateboarding and fishing.
Tom was born in Hutchinson, Kansas and was raised on his family farm (15 miles north of Lyons). This farm has been in Tom's family for over 100 years and his daughter and her husband and family still live there and continue the family farming operation. Tom has been teaching at Sterling for 7 years and thoroughly enjoy the interaction with students concerning the teaching of theology and philosophy. His wife, Bev, have three children together. His son, Matt, lives in Nashville, TN and is a song writer and producer. His daughter, Erin, lives on the family farm and also has three children and his daughter, Emily, lives in Fullerton, CA and is married and has two daughters.

Henry Ivor Lederle was born in Durban, South Africa of German, Welshand Dutch parentage. He did hisprimary and secondary schooling in Newcastle, Northern Natal, graduating in1963 from Newcastle High School as Student Body President. He also received the top academichonors in his year and the oratory award.
