Resident Director of Campbell Hall

Scott is the young gun of Student Life. He recently graduated from Sterling College in the spring of 2013 with a BFA in Communications and a minor in marketing. During his time at Sterling, he met his wife Rebecca and they were married on June 16, 2013. As a student, Scott was passionate about Campbell Hall, the dorm he is now the Resident Director of. He lived in Campbell all four years and was a Resident Assistant in the basement of Campbell for two years.

Justin Morris

Head Soccer Coach

Justin is from Wichita, Kansas. He is in his thirteenth season as the Head Women's Soccer Coach at Sterling College. Coach Morris coached the men's team also up until December (2006) before stepping down to focus more on the women's team.

Josh Musselman

Head Softball Coach

Prior to coming to Sterling, Coach Musselman was a an assistant coach at Utah Valley University. At Utah Valley, Musselman assisted with offensive production and was the top recruiter for the program. Seven of the athletes that Musselman coached won All-Pacific Coast Softball Conference honors while the team set the school record for wins at the Division I level and the school record for highest RPI.

Arlen began his career at Sterling College in 1987 working in the Maintenance department. He is married to Precy and has three children. In his spare time he likes farming and woodworking.

Meredith O'Donnell

Gift Receipting and Records Coordinator

Meredith O’Donnell joined the Office of Institutional Advancement as the gift receipting and records coordinator. She is in charge of maintaining the database of donors and creating letters, appeals and event invitations. O’Donnell came to Sterling College from CCH – Tax and Accounting, where she had worked for five years as supervisor of IT in the area of quality assurance for ProSystem fx Tax software and 12 years as quality assurance analyst for the ProSystem fx suite.

Assistant Director of Innovation & Technology

Lance is the assistant director of information technology. Prior to coming to Sterling, Lance worked as a consultant for Dell and Perot Systems.

Mykeal Pitts

Mykeal Pitts 2012
Position: 
Director of Innovation & Technology

Mykeal earned his master's degree in religion from Florida State University after completing his bachelor of arts degree in logic and philosophy from the University of Central Florida. He has been living and working in Kansas for more than 17 years.

Brandon Ponchak

Men's Soccer Coach

Brandon Ponchak begins his first season as Head Coach of the Warrior Men's Soccer Program.

Ponchak comes to Sterling via Ohio. While in Ohio, Ponchak was serving as a graduate assistant with the Bluffton University Men's Soccer Program in Bluffton, Ohio. During his time in Bluffton, Ponchak recruited two of the largest incoming freshmen classes for the NCAA Division III program. In his two seasons, Ponchak coached three All-Conference players and two All-Sportsmanship honorees.

On May 1, 2013, Scott Rich was named the 12th president of Sterling College. He will continue to lead the institution towards the five year strategic initiative focused on strengthening the academic program core, enriching the student experience and developing the institution’s infrastructure. 

Debbie Staton

Bookstore Manager

Debbie began work at Sterling College in 1981 as a Bookkeeper/Data Entry Operator in the Business Office. After taking a year off in 1984 to be at home with her infant daughter, Debbie returned to Sterling as Bookkeeper/Controller, again in the Business Office. In 1986, she made the move over to the Bookstore. Debbie firmly believes that this is where God wants her to be.
