Laquitta attended Oklahoma State University where she majored in management with a business emphasis. Before moving to her husband’s hometown of Sterling in 2010, she worked for the State of Oklahoma as the state social security administrator for state and local government entities for 17 years. She and her husband Don now live north of Sterling.
Lesa and her husband moved to Kansas 4 years ago from Florida with their 2 daughters, Brittany 17 and Sierra 14. Before moving to Kansas Lesa had been a Dental Assistant for the past 12 years. She came to Sterling College in 2009 and is the housekeeper for Evans and Campbell Halls. Lesa is a 4 year Cancer survivor and feels every day is a blessing. She feels that she is very lucky to be able to have the interactions with the staff and students of SC. While Lesa enjoys attending many home games and plays at the college, she also enjoys hunting, nature, friends and family.
On May 1, 2013, Scott Rich was named the 12th president of Sterling College. He will continue to lead the institution towards the five year strategic initiative focused on strengthening the academic program core, enriching the student experience and developing the institution’s infrastructure.
Resident Director of Douglas Men's Hall & Douglas Women's Hall
Eric is a 2006 graduate of Sterling College, where he received his degree in Christian Ministries with a minor in Exercise Science. He is originally from Colorado Springs, Colorado and is serving in his seventh year as the Resident Director of Douglas Men's and Women's halls. Eric's passion is that every person who comes to Sterling will have an understanding of what it means to know Jesus Christ as their own personal savior and live their life following Him. Eric and his wife, Tonya (05' alum), have been married for 6 years and have a beautiful little girl named Jaely, who was born in January 2011. They love camping, fishing, biking, and hiking and any kind of sport. Eric is a 8-time Sterling College intramural champion. Oh yeah, that's right!
Adedrea Smart graduated from Sterling College in 2012 with a degree in Behavioral Science. She is now serving the Sterling College community as Coordinator of Online Student Services.
Adedrea enjoys music, writing poetry, and visiting friends. She is a HUGE fan of Sterling College Athletics and plans to attend every single basketball game. She also plans to participate in Suit Coat Tuesday.
Adedrea is married to Cecil Smart ’10, who serves SC as an assistant men’s basketball coach, assistant resident director of Kilbourne, and part-time admissions recruiter.
Cecil Smart is in his 3rd year as an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach for the Sterling College Warriors. His primary duties include coaching the junior varsity team, recruiting, and coordinating the strength and conditioning program for the Warriors. He is a Sterling College graduate, having played for Coach Jaderston at both Trinity International and also at Sterling, where he was a member of the 2009 KCAC conference championship team.
Debbie began work at Sterling College in 1981 as a Bookkeeper/Data Entry Operator in the Business Office. After taking a year off in 1984 to be at home with her infant daughter, Debbie returned to Sterling as Bookkeeper/Controller, again in the Business Office. In 1986, she made the move over to the Bookstore. Debbie firmly believes that this is where God wants her to be.
Christopher graduated from Friends University in 2011 with a degree in graphic design. While at Friends he was a graphic designer for student affairs, served in student government as Executive Publicist, and was a sprinter for the track team. Christopher joined the SC community in June 2011 as graphic designer for the marketing department. Outside of work he enjoys reading, painting, watching movies, running fast, daydreaming, and climbing trees.

Jordan is a recent graduate of Sterling College, earning a major in Christian Ministries with a double minor in General Business and Management Leadership in May 2012. He currently works as an Admissions Counselor where he works primarily with students interested in Theology and Ministry, Mathematics, History and Business.
Jordan enjoys making connections with students, tossing around the frisbee and following sports in his free time. He lives in Sterling with his wife, Caitie.
