The Sterling College Art Department will host a printmaking show beginning Thursday, Jan. 31, with a reception from 5-7 p.m. The show features a collection of student work and will be on display until Feb. 12.
Assistant Professor Daniel Swartz was recently accepted into the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles exhibit in the children’s market category. His work, “The Sad Little Town,” will be on display at Gallery Nucleus in Alhambra, Calif.
Artist Kevin P. Kelly will display “Leftovers for Dinner” in the gallery of the Sterling College Art Center Oct. 18-Nov. 6. The exhibit of paintings and drawings will open Thursday, Oct. 18, from 5-7 p.m. with an artist talk from Kelly at 5:30 p.m.
Associate Professor of Art David Harmon first became involved with the Sterling Presbyterian Manor, a retirement community in Sterling, Kan., through an art seminar he facilitated on Friday, Jan. 27.
Jim Griggs’ photography is on display in the gallery of the Sterling College Art Center from Feb. 3 through March 7. Griggs has been published in many magazines such as The Nature Conservancy, Africa Geographic, The Sierra Club, Shutterbug, Wyoming Wildlife, Kiplinger’s Retirement Magazine, and National Geographic.
