Kansas City, Kan. - Sterling College's Britany Gasper has been named to the 2011 NAIA Division II Women's Basketball All-America Second Team for the first time. The NAIA announced the All-America Teams this afternoon on the NAIA website. Gasper finished her playing career for Sterling this season.
Sioux City, Iowa - Britany Gasper starred in her final game as a Sterling College Lady Warrior, scoring 29 points in the 103-66 loss to top seeded Northwestern College (Iowa). Northwestern was on fire from the field in the game, shooting 0.576 from the field and 0.545 from the three point line. Sterling College players and coaches won 11 awards highlighted by Coach Lonnie Kruse winning KCAC Coach of the Year and Britany Gasper winning KCAC Player of the Year.
