Offense wins games. Defense wins championships. On Monday night at Hartman Arena in Park City, Kan., defense won a Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament Championship for the Sterling College Lady Warriors.
WICHITA, Kan. – Adam Brown of Sterling College is the KCAC men's basketball player of the week. The 6-4 Junior Forward from Houston, Texas scored 38 points, while shooting 66.7% from the field in two KCAC games this week as the Warriors improve their conference record to 5-3.
Wichita, Kan. – The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference has released the 2011 Volleyball All-Conference Awards. Sterling's Sara Steria was named to the All-KCAC First Team, highlighting the group of five Lady Warriors who received All-KCAC awards. Adriana Gonzalez was named All-KCAC Second Team while Ciara Ramos, Caitlin Magee, and Mamaiataloa Fiaseu were named All-KCAC Honorable Mention.

Prichard was named to the All-KCAC Second Team while Chavez and Sanchez were named All-KCAC Honorable Mention. The KCAC Men's Soccer Head Coaches voted on the awards.
Wichita, Kan. – Lacey Rhoads, Tiffany Delgado, and Michelle Malette have received Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Honors for their efforts during the 2011 Women's Soccer Season. Rhoads was named to the All-KCAC Second Team while Delgado and Malette were named All-KCAC Honorable Mention. The KCAC Women's Soccer Head Coaches voted on the awards.
Sterling, Kan. – The Sterling College Warrior football team has forfeited three games of the 2011 season after self-reporting the unintentional use of an ineligible player.
Wichita, Kan. – The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference announced this afternoon that Sterling safety Brock Frank was named the KCAC Special Teams Player of the Week. Frank earned Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance during the Warriors 35 to 10 victory over Bethel College. The 6-0, 175 pound senior returned two punts for 94 yards. Frank's longest return was for 81 yards and a touchdown. The victory over Bethel puts the Warriors at 4 and 1 in the KCAC, 4 and 3 overall.
Wichita, Kan. – The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference has named Sterling College’s Adriana Gonzalez KCAC Setter of the Week. Gonzalez earns Setter of the Week after compiling 112 assists, averaging 11.2 per game. The Junior Setter also provided the Warriors with 16 digs during the 2 matches played this week. Sterling went 1 and 1 on the week, dropping the match at Friends University and winning at home against Kansas Wesleyan.
Pete Manely, exercise science department chair and certified athletic trainer (ATC) at Sterling College, has been named the President Elect of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Athletic Training Association. Manely is also the President of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) Athletic Training Association.
Salina, Kan. – The 2011 KCAC Football Season started with a bang on Wednesday with the 2011 KCAC Media Day in Salina, Kansas. At Media Day, two different preseason polls, the KCAC Coaches’ Poll and the KCAC Media Poll, are voted on. Sterling College was picked to finish fifth by the KCAC Coaches and fourth by the KCAC Media.
