Wichita, Kan. - Jannica Schultze, a senior guard, was named Women's Basketball Player of the Week by the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) for the week of January 10-16. In two Lady Warrior victories on the week, Schultze averaged 15.0 ppg and 5.0 rpg. The two Sterling victories in the week came over Ottawa University and Bethel College.

Sterling, Kan. - Two Sterling College Warrior men's basketball players recorded double-doubles in the Gleason Center on Thursday night in a 75-55 Warrior victory over the Ottawa University Braves. Cody Brazelton recorded his fourth straight double-double and sixth double-double of the season by leading the Warriors in both points with 18 and rebounds with 12. Zach Goodrich also had a double-double for SC with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

Wichita, Kan. - The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) has named Sterling College's Cody Brazelton, a junior from Tuttle, Oklahoma, KCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for his performance Sterling's two conference games this past week. On the week, Brazelton averaged 19.0 points per game and 11.0 rebounds per game. During the week, Sterling defeated Friends University 87-57 and Kansas Wesleyan University 67-59.

Sterling, Kan. - Despite the absence of two of their key players, the Sterling College Lady Warriors coast to their fifth straight conference victory by beating Friends University by a mammoth 50 points, 96-46 at the Gleason Center in Sterling on Thursday night.

Stutzman Scores 21 as Sterling Defeats Graceland

Hillsboro, Kan. - Sterling College Warrior junior guard Trent Stutzman went five for eight from the three point line and scored 21 points in Sterling's 75-68 victory over Graceland University to close out the 2010 calendar year. The Warriors used tough defense to hold Graceland University to 36.9% shooting from the field and 27.3% shooting from behind the three point line allowing SC to overcome 15 turnovers and being outrebounded 33-36.

Hillsboro, Kan. - The Sterling College Lady Warriors basketball team was without three key players against Central Methodist College in their final game of the 2010 calendar year. Megan Patrick, Candace Ewert, and Carley Chambers all missed the game due to injuries, but Sterling still prevailed over Central Methodist 71-41. Strong senior leadership continues to be an asset for the Lady Warriors and played a big role in the 30 point blowout at the Tabor Classic.

Lucas's Double-Double Leads Sterling Past Webber International

Babson Park, Fla. - Sterling College's women's basketball team completed the sweep on their two game road trip to Florida, defeating Webber International University 69-52 on Saturday night. Defense was the key again for Sterling in this ballgame, forcing Webber into 25 turnovers. Sterling turned those 25 turnovers into 26 points. The bench also played a big role for Sterling with the Lady Warrior bench outscoring Webber's bench 30-8.
