Aside from her SGA duties, Karin is president of the International Justice Mission Sterling College chapter and serves as a Resident Assistant in X Hall as well as member of the Society of Leadership and Success. In her free time, Karin enjoys hanging out with her friends and watching television shows such as Lost and Grey’s Anatomy. She enjoys traveling and is always up for jetting across the pond to her favorite city, London or to anywhere in Africa.
Jessica Frederick (VP of the Student Senate)
Jessica Frederick is a junior from Wichita, Kansas. Jessica is working toward a mathematics major with an emphasis in secondary education. She is looking forward to her new leadership role as Vice President of the Senate. As VP of the Senate Jessica will conduct monthly meetings in which senators will discuss and expound on campus issues articulated to them by their peers as well as find solutions to advance Sterling College and its students. Jessica loves supporting her peers by attending sporting events and theatre productions. She is a pole-vaulter and runner for the SC track team and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Melissa Yarrow (Executive Secretary)
Melissa Yarrow is in her third year at Sterling College, and she is studying the two things she is passionate about: Missions and Communications. She was raised a farm girl, and loves going home to Clay Center, KS. Besides SGA, Melissa loves taking pictures for the Yearbook and The Stir. You can also find her hanging out in the SCOR or SCOTv labs. She is also excited about working on missions locally through the campus organization Raya 327. Traveling is a favorite pastime of Melissa and her two favorite places in the world (or the world she has seen) are Canandaigua, New York and Nicaragua. Watching movies, having 24 parties, playing Apples to Apples, and just being in the presence of family and friends are also some of her favorite things to do.
Naiya Hernandez (Director of Campus Activities)
Naiya Hernandez is a senior from Southern California. Miss Hernandez came to Sterling College with a desire to pursue her education in Christian Ministries with an emphasis in Missions and a minor in Social Entrepreneurship. Naiya hopes to some day live in a Spanish speaking community where she will serve the Lord through serving others. She has come from a random Mexican family that has empowered her to pursue her dreams. Her father hopes that she will soon settle down and start having babies, but if you know Naiya that will not be happening in the near future, though she does look forward to having a family of her own. Naiya has many pleasures in life, which include Bar-B-Q’s, deep-sea fishing, sushi, watching films, swimming, mission trips, and hanging out with people. Naiya looks forward to serving Sterling College in her final year at SC.
Samantha Regier (Student Chaplain)
Samantha Regier is a junior Art and Christian Ministries double major. After graduating, Samantha hopes to become a full time intercessory missionary at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, Mo. Outside of her major, Samantha's interests include music, prayer, worship, dance, and spending quality time with people she loves. Other random things she enjoys are bacon, graphing calculators, and the concept of the unitard. Her hometown, Halstead, KS, is just an hour away from Sterling. As Student Chaplain she hopes to equip and disciple students in a way that results in lifelong, vibrant, personal, and perpetuating Christianity. She hopes to share and carry out this vision within SGA and also with the group of student chaplains whom she will help lead. If you want to know more about her vision for the campus or want to talk about anything feel free to find her.
David Fuller (Executive Treasurer)
David Fuller is a Junior Religion and Philosophy major. He is an RA in Campbell Hall and loves to spend his free time with his girl Whitney, playing Frisbee, and reading Biblical Commentaries, in that order. As Treasurer of SGA, he is responsible for keeping track of all the finances of the Student Government. He is the executive auditor of all the organizations as well. His most favorite time of the year is everyday because it gives him a chance to live, love and learn. Any donations to support David in his journey called life may be put in Box 527. Thank you and God Bless.
Andrew Fahrenholtz (Office Consultant)
Andrew Fahrenholtz is a senior from Greeley, Colorado. He is majoring in Chemistry and he hopes to one day get his Masters or Ph. D. in Chemistry and create the first chocolate bar that tastes and feels like real chocolate but does not go straight to your hips. As Office Consultant, Andrew will be creating the campus phone/picture directory and ensuring the technology needs of the students. When he is not fixing the SGA’s computers or studying his brains out, Andrew is reading, playing piano, playing video games, or is relishing in the majesty of Campbell Hall Basement.
