Falcons' Wings Clipped at Gleason
Sterling, Kan. - Zach Goodrich and Cody Brazelton led the Sterling College Warriors to victory in a game against Friends University in which four Warriors scored in double figures. Sterling out played the Friends University Falcons every phase of the game as the Warriors prevailed over the Falcons 87-57 on Thursday night in the Gleason Center.
Bench scoring played a huge factor in the game as the SC bench outscored the Falcon bench 32-18. The big contributors off of Sterling's bench were Raheem Odomes, scoring nine points, Adam Brown, scoring eight points, and Diego Ferro, also scoring eight points. Odomes, Brown, and Ferro combined for 25 of Sterling's 32 bench points.
Scoring in double figures for the Warriors was Goodrich and Brazelton, each with 14 points. Brazelton had a double-double as he also pulled down 10 rebounds. Trent Stutzman and Zach Poole were the other two Warriors in double figures. Stutzman scored 11 points while Poole added 10 points.
Nick O'Nelio was the only Falcon to score in double figures with 14 points.
The win improves SC to 7-8 on the season, 3-2 in the KCAC. On Saturday, Sterling will travel to Salina to take on the 5-10 Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes. Game time is 7:00 P.M.
