STERLING, Kan. - Sterling native Gabe Dierksen has signed to play football for the Sterling College Warriors in 2011. Dierksen, a 6-6, 274 pound offensive lineman, will transfer to Sterling College from Hutchinson Community College. Gabe is the son of Fred and Susan Dierksen who were both athletes at Sterling College. Fred played football for the Warriors while Susan was a three sport letter
Sterling, Kan. - Sixteen Warrior Football players received All-Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) honors for their performances during the 2010 football season. Sterling, Kan. - On Senior Night in Sterling, Kansas, the Sterling College Warrior Football Team sent their ten senior members out with a bang. Sterling pounded the ground for over 400 yards rushing on their way to a 62-14 stomping of the Bethel College Threshers. With the win and the loss by Friends University earlier this afternoon, Sterling wrapped up sole possession of third place in the KCAC Final Standings.
Leavenworth, Kan. - On the road, the Sterling College Warrior Football team came away with a victory over the University of Saint Mary Spires in Leavenworth by a score of 21-13. The Sterling defense held Saint Mary to -4 yards rushing and 301 yards of total offense to help the Warriors come out with a victory. Saint Mary mistakes were a large factor in the game, as the Spires had 65 yards in penalties.
Sterling, Kan. - With a 26-7 victory over the Bethany College Swedes, the Sterling College Warrior football team strenghted their position in the top half of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) standings by improving to 4-3 in KCAC play. Sterling used tough defense and a surprising 364 yards of total offense to defeat the Swedes at Smisor Stadium in Sterling.
