The Foster Family Program was created with the mission of helping new students better adjust to Sterling College life. The service is available for new students but is not mandatory.
Foster families are Sterling College faculty/staff or community members who have a desire to be the student's home away from home. These families open their homes for the students in a variety of ways (i.e. meals, free laundry, attend church together, attend College activities, etc.).
New students will have an opportunity to sign up for a foster family in the first month of attending Sterling College. There will be several social events on campus to get the foster family and college student together during the fall semester.
Would you like to provide a college student a home away from home?
Would you like to get to know students from a different part of the state or country?
Would you like to provide a "home-cooked" meal once in a while?
Would you enjoy having a college student spend time with your family?
If you said yes, you may be interested in serving as a foster family.
If you are interested in becoming a foster family for one or more SC students, email the administrative assistant, Melissa Virts, at email@example.com or call 620-278-4232.
