“Taming of the Shrew” opens Thursday at Sterling College | March 4, 2015

Sterling College will present William Shakespeare’s “Taming of the Shrew” March 5-7 at 8 p.m. in Culbertson Auditorium. Tickets will be available show nights at the Sterling College box office in Spencer Hall at 7 p.m., and the doors will open at 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for students, children and seniors.

Sterling College Online offers Summer Special | March 3, 2015

The general education classes through Sterling College Online are returning to the summer special price of $135 per credit hour. Classes are open to anyone interested in earning credit toward a degree at Sterling College or any of its 19 articulation schools. 

Sterling College students attend National Prayer Breakfast | February 27, 2015

Sterling College students Fayola Oyatayo of Princeton, Texas, and Tennissa Williams of Wichita, Kansas, were among an elite group of college students that traveled to the 63rd National Prayer Breakfast earlier this month. Roughly two percent of the 3,600 National Prayer Breakfast attendees were invited to attend the event that took place in Washington, D.C., and Annapolis, Maryland, on Feb. 5-8, 2015.

Bechard selected as Teacher of Promise | February 27, 2015

Senior Darsha Bechard of Belleville, Kansas, joined her future co-workers at the Kansas Exemplary Educators Network State Education Conference on February 19-20 in Topeka to learn from top educators across the country. Named a spring Teacher of Promise by the Sterling College Teacher Education Program, Bechard met the criteria of integrity, dependability, effective communication, appropriate attitude and leadership along with excellent academic achievement.
