Duff, Norton showcase talent in "Harvey" | September 4, 2013

Senior theatre majors Shiloh Duff and Travis Norton will be displaying their talents in the upcoming show “Harvey.” “Harvey,” written by Mary Chase, will be performed Sept. 13-14, in Culbertson Auditorium at 8 p.m. Tickets for this family-friendly comedy will cost $8 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. The box office will open on show nights beginning at 7 p.m.

Employees honored for 5 years of service | August 27, 2013

Nine employees reached their five-year benchmark in employment to Sterling College. Mark Clark, Jonathan Conard, Carrie McGlynn, Scott Rich, Mitzi Suhler, Sunny Sun, Karin Swihart, Tim Thorpe and Ted Weis were honored at the annual Kickoff Banquet at Sterling College on Aug. 8.

Clark, assistant professor of music, directs many of the choral ensembles. He also teaches choral classes and music theory.

Froese to speak at Keynote Convocation at Sterling College | August 20, 2013

Faculty Emeritus of Psychology Dr. Arnold Froese will speak at Sterling College’s Keynote Convocation on Friday, August 23. Froese will deliver his speech, “What’s the Point,” at 10 a.m. in Culbertson Auditorium. The public is invited to attend.

This fall five new faculty members will be teaching at Sterling College. Gidget Dinkel, Dr. Jennifer Dyson and Dr. Randal Newhouse will teach full time, while pro-rata faculty include Jeff Darnauer and Dorothy Kempf.

Three employees honored for 10 years of service to Sterling College | August 13, 2013

Will Best, Ryan “Pete” Manely and Clay Thomas were honored for a decade of service to Sterling College at the annual Kickoff Banquet on Thursday, Aug. 8.

Best began his career at Sterling College as a full-time professor and has continued serving the College as an adjunct. He has taught in a variety of departments: language and literature, history and theology and ministry.

Matt James and Brandon Ponchak join Sterling College | August 6, 2013

Sterling College has hired Matt James ’13 and Brandon Ponchak to fill the roles of admissions counselor and men’s soccer coach respectively.

James will work with prospective students interested in athletic training, exercise science, health science, sports management and athletics.
