Governor Brownback to Speak at Commencement | April 5, 2012

Kansas Governor Sam Brownback will be the speaker for the 2012 Sterling College Commencement ceremony. The ceremony will take place Saturday, May 12 at 9:45 a.m. on Cooper Lawn on the Sterling College campus. The event is open to the public.

Dr. Jonathan Conard's article on elk dietary habits has been published in BioOneAssistant Professor of Biology Dr. Jonathan Conard has published an article in this month's issue of BioOne Online Journals. Titled "Foraging Ecology of Elk (Cervus elaphus) in a Tallgrass Prairie," the Sterling College faculty member’s article is a breakthrough piece in understanding the diet of elk in Kansas.

STERLING, Kan. – Head Football Coach Andy Lambert announced today that the Warriors have hired Chase Hansen as an assistant football coach and Co-Offensive Coordinator. Hansen will begin his new duties immediately.

The Sterling College Art Department, will host the 2012 Annual Juried Student Art Show, beginning Thursday, March 29. The work will be on display for three weeks and the gallery is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The exhibit will be in the gallery of the Sterling College Art Center at the corner of West Washington and North 8th Street, one block south of the Gleason Athletic Complex.
