Christian Ministries

Our Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministries degree prepares you to assume leadership in churches, Christian schools, camps, para-church ministries, missionary organizations, Christian publishing companies as well as pursue various avenues of graduate study. You will learn more about the Bible and its origins, church history, and basic Christian doctrine from a Reformed tradition. Your studies will challenge you to become more like Christ as you learn how to serve the church and its body.

Theological Studies

Our Bachelor of Arts in Theological Studies provides you with a broad-based understanding of biblical, theological, and philosophical concepts. As you journey through the program, you will be encouraged to develop a deeper relationship with God, self, and man as you prepare for a lifetime of services. Elementary Education

Our elementary education program prepares students to be highly qualified K-6 teachers. Students learn about the latest lesson planning strategies and management techniques as well as time-honored practices that have proven successful. They will also develop and deliver over 90 hours of classroom instruction as they prepare to manage their own self-contained elementary classroom.  

History Education

Junior high and high school students are at the age where they begin to question rules, governing bodies, and how people and nations interact with one another. We can teach you the skills you need to impress upon your students the importance of history and how our behavior today influences future generations.

Professional Studies

The Professional Studies program is designed for those who already hold a bachelor's degree in a major for which STEP is approved to provide licensure. Students completing the Professional Studies coursework will be prepared to take the licensure exams and obtain a licensure in that area. STEP is approved to provide licensure in:

Legacy Day

Did your parent(s) attend Sterling College? If so, you are invited to Legacy Day on the Friday of Homecoming Weekend. This is a special event just for children of alumni! We want to show you Sterling College first-hand—watch the pep rally, take a campus tour, eat lunch in our newly remodeled cafeteria, visit a class, meet with professors and hear from SC leadership!
