Life/Work Planning

What is Life/Work Planning?

Clubs and Organizations

Whether you're into leadership, journalism, history or board games, we have an organization where you'll fit right in. And if we don't, you can work with the Student Government Association (SGA) to create your own! The members of SGA are elected officials who act as the voice of the students to the administration, and CAB (Campus Activity Board) members plan and oversee all student events and organizations. Detailed History
1886 The Synod of Kansas accepts Sterling's proposal to locate a synodical college in the town on the condition that the first building, Cooper Hall, be completed in time for classes to start November 1, 1887.
Homecoming 2012

On November 1, 1887, Sterling College opened its doors and set out on a mission to create a vigorous collegiate institution in a central location. One hundred and twenty-five years later, Sterling College is still continually committed to that very end. We hope that you will join us during the 2012-13 Homecoming as we celebrate the past, present and future of Sterling College!

The Arts

Over half of the students at Sterling College are involved in at least one area of the Arts; whether that is theatre, music, communications, art or graphic design. Whatever you major in, you can still be involved with art. You’ll have the opportunity to get involved and stretch your artistic wings. From professional actors to those just getting started with a paint brush, there will always be room for you at SC.
