Sterling College celebrates Kansas Private College Week | September 17, 2013

Governor Sam Brownback declared September 16-22, 2013, to be Kansas Private College Week, celebrating the valuable work of Kansas’ private colleges. Sterling College is using this opportunity to inform its students, alumni and friends of the College on the importance of private colleges in the state of Kansas through their website and social media presence on Facebook and Twitter.

SC to host PBL State Leadership Conference | September 16, 2013

On Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, Sterling College will be hosting the Phi Beta Lambda Fall State Leadership Conference. PBL is the collegiate subdivision of Future Business Leaders of America, and Sterling College has been a member of this organization since 2011.

Adam Anderson to open exhibit at Sterling College | September 11, 2013

Wichita artist Adam Anderson will exhibit his artwork in the Sterling College Art and Media Center gallery Sept. 19 – Oct. 10. The exhibit of graphic design work will open with a reception with Anderson on Sept. 19 from 5-7 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

Sterling College to host Red Cross Blood Drive | September 10, 2013

On Friday, Sept. 13, the Sterling College Student Government Association will be hosting their annual blood drive sponsored by the American Red Cross. This event will be located in the lobby of Evans Hall and will last from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Members of the community are invited to donate blood or help by handing out snacks and signing in participants.

Duff, Norton showcase talent in "Harvey" | September 4, 2013

Senior theatre majors Shiloh Duff and Travis Norton will be displaying their talents in the upcoming show “Harvey.” “Harvey,” written by Mary Chase, will be performed Sept. 13-14, in Culbertson Auditorium at 8 p.m. Tickets for this family-friendly comedy will cost $8 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. The box office will open on show nights beginning at 7 p.m.

Sterling College repeats "Best in the Midwest" | September 3, 2013

Parents and students across the country look to The Princeton Review for ratings and information on the best colleges and universities in the United States. For the second year in a row, they will find Sterling College on The Princeton Review’s list under the “Best in the Midwest.”

Employees honored for 5 years of service | August 27, 2013

Nine employees reached their five-year benchmark in employment to Sterling College. Mark Clark, Jonathan Conard, Carrie McGlynn, Scott Rich, Mitzi Suhler, Sunny Sun, Karin Swihart, Tim Thorpe and Ted Weis were honored at the annual Kickoff Banquet at Sterling College on Aug. 8.

Clark, assistant professor of music, directs many of the choral ensembles. He also teaches choral classes and music theory.

Froese to speak at Keynote Convocation at Sterling College | August 20, 2013

Faculty Emeritus of Psychology Dr. Arnold Froese will speak at Sterling College’s Keynote Convocation on Friday, August 23. Froese will deliver his speech, “What’s the Point,” at 10 a.m. in Culbertson Auditorium. The public is invited to attend.

Boyd, Hall honored for 20 years of service to Sterling College | August 20, 2013

Bruce Boyd and Michelle Hall completed 20 years of service to Sterling College and were honored at the annual Kickoff Banquet on Thursday, Aug. 8.
