KCAC Names Schultze Player of the Week
Wichita, Kan. - Jannica Schultze, a senior guard, was named Women's Basketball Player of the Week by the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) for the week of January 10-16. In two Lady Warrior victories on the week, Schultze averaged 15.0 ppg and 5.0 rpg. The two Sterling victories in the week came over Ottawa University and Bethel College.
On Thursday night against Ottawa, Schultze scored 12 points and had five rebounds in a game that was never close. Sterling won easily 83-38 against an Ottawa team that is one of the hottest teams in the KCAC.
Against Bethel, Schultze led the Lady Warriors to a hard earned win in a game that tight the entire way. Schultze scored 18 points and had five rebounds in the win.
Jannica is a 5-6 senior guard from Waldo, Kan.
Sterling is currently sitting in first place along with Kansas Wesleyan University in the KCAC and will face McPherson College on Wednesday night at 6:00 pm in McPherson.
