Run (or Walk) for China: Sweet and Sour 5K Run

The Sweet and Sour 5K Run on April 17 may not get its participants any closer to the Great Wall, but it will help Sterling College’s China team get there. Proceeds from the race will go to support the China team’s trip to Beijing from May 24 to June 7.

Sterling College Outreach Education Classes Begin March 30

Sterling College will be offering classes in pottery, real estate, servant leadership and writing through its spring 2010 Outreach Education program. The classes meet once a week and will begin the week of March 30 and run through the week of May 4.

Soccer-Hooligan -Turned-Pastor Will Speak at Chapel March 24

David Jeal used to support the Bristol Rovers, his favorite English professional football (soccer) team, with his fists; now he supports them with prayer as their official chaplain. At 10 a.m. on March 24, this British hooligan-turned-pastor will share his story at Sterling College's chapel, held in Culbertson Auditorium. The public is invited to attend free of charge.

Sterling women fall to Northwestern in Sweet Sixteen

SIOUX CITY, Iowa - (Box Score) Northwestern (Iowa) cruised past Sterling (Kan.) 92-50 to punch a ticket into the quarterfinals Friday at the19th Annual State Farm-NAIA Division II Women's Basketball National Championship at the Tyson Events Center/Gateway Arena.

The Red Raiders, now 28-6 on the season, advance to the quarterfinals for the third straight year and will square off against Iowa Wesleyan Saturday at 3 p.m. Sterling's 14th national championship appearance ends in the second round and the Warriors exit at 27-5.
