Dr. David Briones, assistant professor of theology and ministry at Sterling College, has presented several lectures on the apostle Paul at conferences and in the classroom. In November, his work on Paul can be on your living room bookshelf. Briones’s Ph.D. thesis on Paul’s financial policy will be published as a part of the Library of New Testament Studies series by T&T Clark.
Caleb Watney of Sterling, Kan., sophomore at Sterling College, took part in Exploring Liberty, an economic conference, from May 25-31. The conference was sponsored by the Institute of Humane Studies in Winston-Salem, N.C., at Wake Forest University and focused on exploring libertarian thought. It included sessions on the historical, economic and philosophical foundations for a free society.
The athletic teams are not the only Sterling College students traveling to national competitions this year. Sterling College’s Phi Beta Lambda will test their business knowledge against students from across the country at the Future Business Leaders of America – Phi Beta Lambda National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, Calif.
