CATHRYN WIEBE NAMED KCAC "PLAYER OF THE WEEK"

Sterling College sophomore, Cathryn Wiebe, was named the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference "Player of the Week" after helping lead the Lady Warriors to wins over Bethel College and McPherson College last week.
Wiebe, a 6'1 forward, averaged 24.5 ppg. and 11.0 rrg. in Sterling's two conference victories last week.
"Cathryn continues to be solid in scoring and rebounding for us," said Sterling College Head Coach Lonnie Kruse. "This was her seventh straight double-double in as many games. She really has stepped up on both ends of the floor."
In the first game of the week, Wiebe scored 26 points and grabbed 11 rebounds against Bethel College.Wiebe finished the week with a 23 points and 11 rebounds in the Warriors thirty point blowout over McPherson College.
Wiebe is averaging 15.53 ppg. and 10.06 rrg so far this season. The Lady Warriors are 14-3 and 8-0 in the KCAC.
Wiebe is a graduate of Berean Academy and she is a Pre-med major at Sterling College
