Golf comes in 7th, Quinley in Top 10
LAKEWOOD, CO - The Sterling Golf team couldn't quite break through the field after the third and final round of the CO Mines/Regis Invitational.
Fort Lewis finished on top of the 8 team field as the Sterling teams finished 7th and 8th respectively. The A team was just 3 strokes away from breaking into the NCAA Division II crowd, a respectable feat for a first year program.
Kevin Quinley, a freshman from Salina, KS ended up breaking into the top 10 putting rounds of 73, 75, and 76 on the board, good enough for 9th overall in individual competition, the leader finishing one under par for the tournament.
The Warriors of the fairway next head to Hastings, Nebraska on the 24th and 25th of September for the Hastings invitational.
