Professor’s Book at World's Largest Book Fair

The world’s largest trade book fair takes place this week in Frankfurt, Germany, and this year, Sterling College has taken notice. Professor of Theology and Ministry Rev. Dr. Hank Lederle, has a book on display at the Word & Spirit Press booth. Lederle’s book, “Theology with Spirit”, has been chosen by the publisher to be sold at the fair.

In “Theology with Spirit”, Lederle describes the movements of the Holy Spirit, and connects the events to show movements that have occurred throughout history. He continues to predict which movements will grow rapidly in the 21st century and why.

Lederle began at Sterling College in 2002 as dean of chapel and professor in the department of religion and philosophy. In 2010, Lederle published a compilation of sermons he preached during chapels. Currently, Lederle is a professor and chair of the department of theology and ministry, and the director for missions at Sterling College.

The Frankfurt World Book Fair will take place from Tuesday, October 11 to Sunday, October 16. Books will be separated into more than 23 categories such as international publishers, education, children’s books, art, academic publishing, etc. There will be over 7,000 exhibits from more than 100 countries taking part in the fair. While there, publishers will also determine international publishing rights, translations and licenses Contracts for the translation of Lederle’s book (possibly in German) are being considered.
