Warrior Golf inks first recruit for 2008
The Men's Warrior Golf team signed Seth Holmes of Goddard High School to a letter of intent on Friday February 1st.
Seth will be competing collegiately for Sterling starting in the fall of 2008. He will come to the Warrior golf program with extensive experience and success in the junior ranks. Some of his accomplishments include: Wichita City Match play champion in 2006; 3rd place finish in Wichita City medal play in 2007; 2nd place in 2006 at the City Medal play; and finished 3rd in the KJGA Cup standings in 2007.
"We are very excited that Seth has chosen Sterling College to pursue is degree as well and compete at the collegiate level, said Head Golf Coach Sean Gillespie. "I first met Seth at a Men's golf retreat last year and was impressed with not only his game but with the way he carried himself. He will be able to come in immediately and impact our program next year. He will be a nice piece to the puzzle as we move towards building a competitive golf program here at Sterling College. Though he as experienced much success already, we anticipate his game going to another level here at Sterling."
Seth will be competing this spring at Goddard High School, where he as already lettered 4 years.
