Yates Scores Again; Warriors Lose on the Road

Alva, Okla. - Kylie Yates scored again for the Warriors as Sterling College fell in Alva, Oklahoma to Northwestern Oklahoma State University 1-2.

After a scoreless first half, NWOSU's Taylor Marsh scored a goal in the 57th minut

e to give NWOSU a 1-0 lead. Yates evened the score in the 65th minute, but the Lady Warriors were unable to hold on. Marsh scored again in the 84th minute to give NWOSU the lead and the game.

With the goal, Yates extends here goal streak to eight games. Currently, Yates has scored 13 goals on the season and is averaging 1.6 goals per game. Yates also leads the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) in goals, goals per game, points, and points per game.

The Lady Warriors drop to 4-4 on the season. Sterling's next game will be on September 25 at home against York College. Kick-off is at 2:00 pm.
