piano program

Welcome to the piano area at Sterling College!

The keyboard department is uniquely equipped to offer a well-rounded program with a variety of opportunities for aspiring performers.

Students that concentrate in performance are prepared for a career as a concert performer, either as a soloist, member of an ensemble, accompanist, or jazz musician. In addition, students have the opportunity to enroll in various piano pedagogy courses that will develop the skills necessary for effective teaching at all ages and levels. Students learn techniques for communicating both musically and verbally, and they develop a thorough knowledge of piano literature, teaching methods, techniques, and instructional materials.

Thank you for your interest in the piano program at Sterling College, and if you have any questions concerning the keyboard area please do not hesitate to contact Dr. Brad Nix.
