International Trips

The Behavioral Science Department occasionally sponsors class trips to Honduras during the January Interterm. The students study social inequality in this developing country.

Interterm Study Trip
Honduras, 2007

The Field Trip in Social Inequality in Interterm 2007 involved the following activities:

  • 1 week campus study to learn history, culture, and economic conditions of Honduras
  • 2 weeks in Honduras, studying poverty as we do not experience it here in the United States. Our experiences included
  • Urban poverty
  • Urban wealth
  • Rural peasant life
  • Self-development programs
  • A concluding visit to Mayan ruins site in Copan.
