Dennis Dutton

About:

Dennis came to Sterling from Aledo, Illinois, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre in 1982. Since that graduation in 1982, Dennis has become more and more familiar with Sterling and its people. He began his work in the admissions office, beginning as a counselor from 1982 until 1984, and then serving as Director of Admissions until 1995; from 1995 to 1998 he was the Vice President for Admissions. Moving to another office Dennis served as the Director of Development until 2003 where he returned to his very familiar role in admissions.

Dennis loves working with people. "It is very rewarding to work with prospective students, answering questions about Sterling College, and helping to further a student's education here". Dennis never passes up an opportunity to show off the campus to a prospective student and their family, and pass on the great atmosphere that students can find here at Sterling.

Dennis and his wife love to visit New York City and take in a good Broadway show when they have a chance to get away for a while. Otherwise they participate in many community activities, including community theatre. While Dennis is not at work he is at home playing with his sons Will and Max.
