Josh Oberle named KCAC Offensive Player of the Week

Sterling College senior Josh Oberle was named the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference "Offensive Player of the Week" after helping lead the Warriors to a win over McPherson College last Saturday at Smisor Stadium.

Oberle, a 5'11 185lb, wide receiver, Chase, KS. In a 42-28 win over the Bulldogs last Saturday, he caught seven receptions for 159 yards and three touchdowns. Oberle has nine touchdown receptions in his last five games for Warriors.

"Oberle made some great catches Saturday night," said Sterling College Head Coach Andy Lambert. "He (Josh) continues help our team get better everyday."

Oberle is majoring in Exercise Science at Sterling College.

Oberle becomes the third player this season to be named KCAC Offensive Player of Week along with Tyler Degenhardt (Holton, KS) and Adam Langvardt (Buhler, KS). The Warriors are 3-2 on the season and 2-2 in the KCAC. Sterling will travel to Southwestern College this Saturday for a 1:30pm kickoff.
