08/16/2007

The Sterling College Football team was picked by both the coaches and the media representing the KCAC to finish fourth at the 2007 KCAC Football Media Day held at the Salina Country Club.

Friends University was picked by both coaches and media as the pick to win the conference, while Kansas Wesleyan was picked to finish second and Bethel was third.

Sterling opens September 8 with defending KCAC Champion Friends University in Wichita, Kansas.

The Warriors will host Tabor College on Sept. 15th, before traveling to Bethel College who earned the right to appear in a NAIA playoff game last season. SC will travel to Alva, Oklahoma on the 29th of September to face Northwestern Oklahoma State for their non-conference match-up.

Tabor was picked fifth in both polls, followed by Ottawa in sixth and McPherson was seventh in the coaches' poll, but traded spots in the media poll. Southwestern was picked eighth collectively, while Saint Mary was picked ninth in both polls and Bethany was picked tenth.
