Sterling is widely respected for having one of the premier athletic traditions in the midwest. The mens and womens teams bring their passion and their faith to the field of competition. For our athletes, athletics is more than a sport - it's a laboratory for life.

Melvin Balogh

Melvin Balogh begins his second season as head coach of the Lady Warrior volleyball program.

Melvin comes to Sterling after being the head coach for Concordia University in Ann Arbor, Michigan for two seasons and at Great Lakes Christian College for three seasons.

Balogh has also been involved in club volleyball for over six years. For three of those years he coached for Club Fusion a club based out of Dewitt, Michigan. He has also coached for the Eastern Volleyball Academy 18 elite in Eastern Michigan and also national power Toledo Volleyball Club.

Coach Balogh will also work in the Sterling College admissions office as the Christian Youth Liason. His primary responsiblity will be to build up relationships between Sterling College and para-church/christian youth groups.
