Health Insurance
All students enrolled at SC MUST be enrolled in a health insurance plan. Students enrolled in their own plan (or covered by their parent's plan) can waive the insurance offered by SC. If a student is not already enrolled in a plan, insurance will be available through the College. This plan is $900 for the year.*

To enroll in the College’s health plan:
- Simply mark “yes” on the Health Insurance Information section of online confirmation.
To waive the College’s health plan:
- Provide the information requested in the Health Insurance Information section of online confirmation.
- Mark “no” on the question asking if you need insurance through the College.
- Provide the Student Life Office a copy of your valid insurance card.
*If no card is provided by August 31, 2013 you will be charged for the College’s plan. Copies can be sent to:

Renters Insurance
Although thefts or damages are rare, Sterling College is not exempt from them. While every effort is made to provide a secure, trouble-free environment, the College does not assume responsibility at any time for the private property of its students. It would be in the best interest of the student to write down serial numbers and keep them in a safe place in case of theft. Please reference your homeowner's/rental insurance policy for information regarding coverage available for property away from the main residence. If it is not covered under your current policy, you are strongly encouraged to look into renter's insurance with any reputable insurance company.
