Title III-USDE Grant

Strengthening Institutions

Strong academics. Strong faith. Strong community. Since its founding in 1887, Sterling College has made a positive, lasting impact on thousands who have made it their college home. But as with everything, improvement is always possible.

Early in the 2000s, Sterling identified a variety of areas, including academic programs and training, institutional management and fiscal stability, as opportunities for enhancement and growth.

Between 2004 and 2009, Sterling College was the recipient of a U.S. Department of Education grant of more than $1.75 million that directly addressed the dentified improvement areas.

The result, after five years of implementation, is a better, stronger Sterling College — an educational institution better poised to grow and contribute to the expanding needs of our increasingly diverse student population. Now, and well into the future.
