Trent Stutzman named KCAC Player of the Week
Wichita, Kan. - Sterling College basketball player Trent Stutzman has been named the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week. Stutzman is a 6-0 junior guard for the Warriors from Hutchinson, Kansas. In two games this week, Stutzman scored 37 points (18.5 ppg), pulled down six rebounds (3.0 rpg), and shot nine for 13 from three point land for a 0.692 three point shooting percentage.
On Thursday against KCAC leading Tabor College, Stutzman helped the Warrio
rs to an 86-68 win by scoring 12 points and pulling down five rebounds. The win pulled Sterling into a tie with Tabor for the best record in the KCAC.
Against Bethany College on Saturday, Stutzman shot lights out from the three point line, scoring 25 points on the way to a 96-74 Sterling College victory.
Sterling is currently tied for first place in the KCAC with Tabor College with a 9-3 conference record. The Warriors are 13-9 overall. Sterling's next game will be on Thursday when the Warriors travel to the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth to play the Spires at 8:00 pm.
