Gasper Named KCAC Player of the Week | February 21, 2011

Wichita, Kan. - The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) has named Sterling College's Britany Gasper the KCAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week. During the week, Gasper averaged 21.0 points and 7.5 rebounds in Sterling's two KCAC contests. Sterling went 2-0 on the week and wrapped up their fifth straight KCAC Regular Season Championship.

Sterling, Kan. - The Sterling College Warrior men's basketball team celebrated their 2010-2011 Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) Regular Season Championship on Senior Night in the Gleason Center on Saturday by defeating the McPherson College Bulldogs 71-67. Sterling came away with the victory despite being rebounded 36-53. The Warriors used 10 three point baskets to offset the rebound deficit on their way to the victory.

Wichita, Kan. - Cody Brazelton of Sterling College has been named this week's KCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week. During the week, Brazelton averaged 23.0 points per game, and 8.5 rebounds per game and helped the Warriors gain sole possession of the top spot in the KCAC going into the final week of the regular season.

Sterling College Students Have Chance to Live Their Dreams | February 14, 2011

Apart from the typical general education courses offered during the Interterm session, three Sterling College students had the rare opportunity to take part in a course that literally gave them a chance to live their dreams. The course, "Music Technology," was taught by Professor of Biblical Studies Rev. Dr. Craig Smith, and it provided the students a chance to go to Nashville, Tenn. from January 9-16 to explore the role of the arts in worship and to gain exposure to songwriting and producing.

Sterling, Kan. - The 2010-2011 Sterling College Lady Warriors are Co-Champions of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC). With a win in the Gleason Center on Saturday night over the McPherson College Lady Bulldogs 57-44, Sterling wrapped up their fifth straight KCAC Regular Season Title and on Senior Night and will be the overall number one seed in the KCAC Championship Tournament, earning the conference's first automatic bid to the 2011 NAIA State Farm Women's Basketball National Tournament in Sioux City, Iowa.

BRAZELTON HAS CAREER NIGHT AS STERLING OVERCOMES KWU | February 10, 2011

Sterling, Kan. - Zach Goodrich may have only scored five points against the Kansas Wesleyan University Coyotes, but two of those five points came in the most clutch of situations as the Sterling College Warriors were victorious on Thursday night in the Gleason Center. With 2.6 seconds left in a 72-72 tie ball game, Goodrich pulled up and hit a two point jump shot to give Sterling a much needed 74-72 victory.
