Garrett has served as Sterling College’s Coordinator of Online Student Services since May of 2014, where he helps online students succeed in any way he can. Most of his duties revolve around maintaining the online student database, pointing online students toward SCO resources and furthering retention efforts.
Garrett comes to Sterling most recently from Denver, where he pursued his M.A. in Biblical Studies at Denver Seminary. He is passionate about teaching hermeneutics, biblical theology and apologetics. Garrett also worked in Denver Seminary’s admissions office from 2011 to 2014 while pursuing his graduate degree.
Having grown up in Arkansas, Garrett enjoys hunting, camping, reading (nerdy!) biblical studies books and watching Arkansas Razorback football games. He attended the University of Central Arkansas where he earned his bachelor’s degree and met his wife, Kaylee. During college, Kaylee and Garrett spent 3 summers in Thailand, where they ministered to Burmese refugees alongside a local Thai pastor. They are very excited to be involved in student ministry once again at Sterling College.
