Dr. Samuel A. Hokamp

Dr. Hokamp joined Sterling College in the fall of 2021, after completing a position as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics at St. Norbert College in De Pere, WI. Prior to this appointment, he earned his PhD in Mathematics from Bowling Green State University in 2019. Dr. Hokamp enjoys teaching all areas of mathematics, but he has a special passion for exploring theoretical and abstract mathematical disciplines. Outside of teaching, Dr. Hokamp enjoys conducting research, playing strategy games (chess, in particular), and spending time with his family.

Dr. Deborah Rogers

With the growing health sciences programs at Sterling College, Debbie Rogers joins the Department of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. She has teaching experience as a graduate teaching assistant at a public university, adjunct instructor in both community college and private Christian College institutions, and high school biology teacher at a private Christian school. Debbie is finishing her dissertation titled “Fibroblast Growth Factor Receptor 1 influences functional communication between astrocytes and neurons” to earn her Ph.D.
