What are the steps to enroll at Sterling College?

There are several phases to enrollment at Sterling. Here's how it works:

1. Complete an Application for Admission and Submit Your Records for Acceptance
To enroll at Sterling College you must first be accepted to the College. That means we must have received your completed application and application fee, all high school and college transcripts and your ACT or SAT scores. A letter regarding your acceptance status will be sent once we have received your application, fee, transcripts and scores.

2. Come to Sterling for a Campus Visit
We encourage you to visit the campus to get to know the professors, students and staff and experience campus life at Sterling. We'd love to have you visit class, attend a practice of one of our sports teams, and spend the night in one of the residence halls. During your campus visit you can also audition or try out for activities or sports.

3. Apply for Financial Aid
In order to receive a financial aid award package, your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) should be completed by March 1st. When we have received that and you have auditioned or tried out for any activities, we will put together a financial aid award package for you. When you accept your financial aid package and send in your deposit, those funds will be reserved for you.

4. Submit Your Deposit/Apply for Housing
A $100 deposit ($50 for commuters) will secure your place in a classroom, and reserve your financial aid award and scholarships and dorm and room assignment. This deposit must be made before you can pre-register for classes. Once we have received your $100 deposit, we will send you a Residence Hall Roommate Data Sheet to be completed and returned. We will then match you up with a roommate.

5. Pre-Register for Classes
You'll be able to meet one-on-one with a faculty advisor to design your fall class schedule and a 4-year plan.
