Check-in is from 9am - Noon. New students begin on the west side of Cooper Hall. You must check-in before you can receive your dorm key.
Parking: Start the check-in process by using your Sterling College map and following signs to find your student’s assigned dorm.
Check-In: Walk from your dorm to West Cooper Hall where you will be guided through the check-in process: meeting with Student Accounts, Financial Aid, Academic Advising, the Campus Nurse, and Student Life. Completion of check-in is required before you can receive the key to your room and your ID card
Complete Admissions File: Request all final and official transcripts/scores All final, official transcripts and scores must be received by the time you arrive to campus. Contact Admissions at admissions@sterling.edu if you have questions.
Student Health Form: Complete and submit immunization records The campus nurse must keep this confidential form along with a copy of your immunization records on file. Contact our Campus Nurse at nurse@sterling.edu with questions. You may mail or email the form and your records to us.
Complete Online Forms: Complete the forms found on your mySterling account
Complete NEW Housing or Off Campus App - on Student Life tab in mySterling
Complete the FERPA Release forms - on Academics > FERPA Release tab in mySterling
Complete the Vehicle Form if you have a car - on Forms tab in mySterling
Complete Online Shield and Drug & Alcohol Training: Complete the online training found in your SC email
Log in to your Sterling College email.
Click on email from Vector Solutions (2 separate emails).
Complete Shield Training, which is a required campus awareness/bystander training. The entire training will take an estimated 20-50 minutes. Must be completed before classes begin.
Finalize Financial Aid: For questions, contact your enrollment counselor or call 620-278-4206.
Accept/decline aid on mySterling
If using Federal Direct loans, complete MPN & loan entrance counseling at studentaid.gov.
Finalize Student Account: Make payment in full or set up a payment plan.
