Andrew Drake

Andrew Drake returned to Sterling in the Fall of 2020. He serves as the Head Athletic Trainer as well as a clinical faculty member in the Athletic Training and Health Science departments. Andrew received his B.S in Athletic Training from Sterling College in 2012. After graduation he completed an internship with South Lake Hospital in Clermont, Florida working at ESPN Wide World of Sports. In the Fall of 2013, he began working as a Graduate Assistant at The University of West Alabama. During this time, Andrew worked with the Rodeo, Tennis, Track & Cross Country, and Football teams. Following the completion of his MAT in Physical Education at UWA, he began working as a Certified Early Intervention Specialist in Wichita, Kansas caring for the work-related injuries of those in the aerospace industry. Andrew’s love of sports got the best of him, and he returned to college athletics in 2016 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Friends University. In his time at Friends, he would work primarily with the Football and Baseball programs.  Andrew returned to SC to fill the role of Head Athletic Trainer, providing direction for the sports medicine team here at SC.  He teaches in the Health Science Department while providing mentorship to other SC athletic trainers and oversight of medical care of all SC student-athletes, with primary medical care provision for SC football and powerlifting athletes.
