This weekend will house the inaugural Sterling College Festival of Film will showcase films produced by communication majors at Sterling College.
On Friday, April 13 at 7:00 p.m., the initial screening of all the films entered into the festival took place in Culbertson Auditorium on the Sterling College campus. Viewers have a second opportunity to watch the films and interact with the filmmakers on Sunday, April 15 at 2:00 p.m. in Cooper Hall. The winners of the festival will be announced at the end of the second night. Several awards will be given, including best actor, best actress and best documentary.
There are 15 works officially entered in the contest and the average length of the short films is seven minutes.
“The festival is a chance for students who enjoy creating films to showcase their work to a large audience,” said Chris Halcromb, a senior of Diamond Bar, Calif. “We really hope the community comes to support and enjoy the work entered into the Festival.”
