SC Softball ends season with losses to Bethany and McPherson

Bethany 6, Sterling 3 – Bethany rallied from a 3-0 deficit with six runs in the bottom of the sixth to get a 6-3 win.
Lindsey Radcliffe was 3-for-3 at the plate for Bethany and drove in two runs. Jaime Barbosa and Samantha Gonzalez had two hits each to lead Sterling .
Kelly Spence took the loss for Sterling , giving up six runs on nine hits, while Savannah Dejmal went the distance for Bethany , giving up three runs on 11 hits.
Sterling advances to play McPherson College
McPherson 7, Sterling 3 – Sterling plated two runs in the first but McPherson rallied for three in the third to get the win over the Warriors.Samantha Gonzalez had three hits for Sterling , and Emily Masters added two, but it was not enough as the Bulldogs pounded out 14 hits, led by Whitney Coleman who was 4-for-4, and Carrie Koch who added three more hits and drove in three runs.
Both pitchers threw complete games, with Amy Ziegler getting the win for McPherson and Gonzalez taking the loss for Sterling .
Sterling ends the season with a 19-21-1 record.
