Friends and family gathered in the Gleason Center at Sterling College on Saturday morning, May 9, 2026, to celebrate the achievements of its Class of 2026 graduates. The Wichita Caledonian Pipe Band led the procession, and speaker, Rev. Dr. Joel Wood, senior pastor of New Life Presbyterian Church in La Mesa, Calif., gave the Commencement address. The Class of 2026 were honored as part of this year’s program. The presentation of degrees followed with students walking the stage and shaking hands with President Scott Rich, completing their time at Sterling.

The stage lights shone once again at Sterling College as 150 students and teachers from 15 high schools across Kansas gathered for the second annual Sterling College Musical Theatre Day. Expanding on last year’s inaugural singing contest, the event now includes a full day of activities featuring a solo competition, interactive workshops, and a student Q&A. The day closed with a special matinee performance of the classic musical “She Loves Me.”

Sterling College’s Debate and Forensics team delivered a strong national showing at the Pi Kappa Delta National Tournament, held March 18-22, at Missouri State University in Springfield.
Competing for Sterling College were Davi Brooks, Cristian Vargui, Brennan Blake, Bailey Brewer, and Chandler Reiman, under the direction of coach Ken Troyer. The team faced competitors from colleges and universities across the country in a demanding multi-day event featuring debate and individual forensic competition.
