About the Program

A major in biology will prepare students for continuing their education at the graduate and professional levels, teaching biology at the secondary level or entering the biological research field. Graduates from the program are well-prepared for successful careers in life after college.
The biology department at Sterling College also works to meet the needs of all students, both majors and non-majors. Non-majors will benefit from exposure to the science of biology as they further their liberal arts education. They will gain a better understanding of how science and biology impact their personal lives and the world around us all.
