Bulldogs Beat Warriors

Sterling, Kan. - The Sterling College Warrior Men's Soccer Team fell to McPherson College in their final home match at Sterling in the 2010 season. SC was unable to overcome a barrage of McPherson attacks, falling by a score of 3-1.

Sterling held a slim lead in the first half when Daren Casey scored off of a Cameron Byard assist to give the Warriors a 1-0 lead in the 36th minute. McPherson's Tyler Tank evened the score three minutes later in the 39th minute and the halftime score was 1-1. The second half was McPherson's as Calin Strong put in two goals for the Bulldogs, giving McPherson a 3-1 win.

The loss drops Sterling to 0-6 in the KCAC, 2-11-2 overall. SC will travel to Friends University to play the Falcons in Wichita on Saturday at 8:00 pm.
