Martinez qualifies for AFA National Tournament

Gabby Martinez of Hutchinson, Kansas, qualified for the American Forensic Association National Individual Events Tournament this past weekend at the Nebraska in Kansas Swing. Hosted by Kansas State University, the tournament included 11 colleges and universities competing in 11 individual events. Martinez placed second in informative speaking, which was her final step toward qualifying for the national tournament.

Dara Quastad of Inman, Kansas, placed fourth in persuasive speaking on day one of the tournament.

At the Gorlock Gala in St. Louis, Missouri, Gage Brookman of Hutchinson, Kansas, finished fifth in open NFA-Lincoln-Douglas debate and received a speaker award.
