Prichard Pushes Warriors by York

Sterling, Kan. - Cuyler Prichard would score two goals and the Warriors would defeat York College 3-0 on Saturday afternoon in Sterling. The Warriors were highly efficient in the game, putting six of nine shots on target and scoring three.

Prichard struck early in the first half, scoring his first goal in the 4th minute of play assisted by Cesar Ventura. In the 11th minute, Prichard would score again, this time unassisted. The Warriors would continue the pressure in the first half with Pedramm Abrar scoring in the 43rd minute off of a Sherriff Sanusi assist. At the half, the score was 3-0.

Coach Underwood would change tactics in the second half, having the Warriors play a defensive half. Sterling goalkeeper Riley Zelus was tested twice in the half, but made saves on both occasions. The Warrior defense would stand strong, preventing York from scoring. The final score was 3-0.

The win pushes the Warriors to 2-5-1. On September 30, the Warriors will make-up their game against Manhattan Christian in Manhattan, Kansas. Game time is 6:00 pm.
