On February 5, 2015, Don Reed ’68 will attend his first full meeting under his fifth title at Sterling College – trustee. Reed, who worked at Sterling College for 38 years, was elected to the Board of Trustees in October.

“We are tremendously blessed to have Don Reed’s leadership and heritage with the College on the Board of Trustees. His knowledge of Sterling College, its history and its supporters is extremely beneficial as we continue to move through the stages of the strategic plan,” said Scott Carter ’88 vice president of institutional advancement and external relations.

Don served Sterling College for 38 years in a variety of roles including development, marketing and public relations. Reed led the Cooper Campaign to renovate Cooper Hall and oversaw institutional and athletic fundraising. In 2009, he was awarded the highest alumni award, the Distinguished Service Award, for his lifetime of professional success and servant leadership.

Before working at Sterling College, Reed served in the United States Navy and served as a teacher at Lyons High School.
